Hello and welcome to CK notes!

This is a personal technical space where an IT systems engineer documents hands-on field experience, infrastructure architecture, troubleshooting case studies, and everyday reflections.

💡 Why the name ‘CK notes’?

If you are visiting for the first time, you might have initially thought of the fashion brand (Calvin Klein). 😄

However, CK notes carries a simple yet dedicated meaning:

  • CK: The initials of the engineer and author of this blog.
  • notes : RepresentsEngineering Field Notes —the verified technical insights and solutions gathered while diagnosing servers, networks, and virtualization platforms every day. Since entering the IT industry on September 6, 2010, I have spent over16 years building enterprise data centers, managing server and storage infrastructure, and solving critical downtime issues. This space serves as an open, reliable engineering notebook documenting that hard-earned knowledge.

🛠️ Profile & Core Technical Expertise

Working as an IT systems and field engineer since September 6, 2010 (16 years of hands-on experience).

  • HCI & Virtualization: HPE SimpliVity, HPE VME, VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter), KVM
  • Servers & Enterprise Storage: x86 enterprise servers (HPE ProLiant, etc.), SAN Fabric Switches (Cisco MDS, Brocade), Enterprise SAN Storage
  • OS & Infrastructure Services: Linux (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu, CentOS), Windows Server, DNS, NTP, NFS, Active Directory
  • Automation & Engineering AI: Bash, PowerShell, Local LLM (Ollama) workflows for enterprise engineering

📂 Blog Focus & Publishing Schedule

  • Mission:
This blog rejects generic vendor textbook documentation. Since 2010, I have spent 16 years inside enterprise data centers and server rooms, documenting raw, field-tested troubleshooting logs and deployment notes.

  • Publishing Frequency:
To prioritize verified depth over quantity, new in-depth articles are published 2 to 4 times a month (bi-weekly schedule).

  • Core Categories:

    1. Tech (Field Engineering Notes): Servers, SAN storage, HCI (SimpliVity/VME), KVM, and Linux data center infrastructure troubleshooting.
    2. Life & Car: Maintenance, repairs, and DIY logs for the road partner vehicle (Hyundai NEXO, etc.) that powers client on-site visits across the country, alongside everyday reflections away from technology.
